Beschreibung
Das Short Range Certificate (SRC) ist die gesetzliche Mindestqualifizierung für die Bedienung und den Betrieb von UKW Sprechfunkgeräten und UKW Digital Selective Calling (DSC) Anlagen auf jedem Schiff mit einer entsprechenden Einrichtung. Diese Regelung gilt für fix eingebaute, sowie für tragbare Funkgeräte die internationale Frequenzen benutzen.
Das Zertifikat wird von der International Sailing Schools Association ausgestellt.
Funkgeräte sind eine essentielle Sicherheitsausrüstung an Board, und es ist wichtig die korrekten Prozeduren zu verstehen. Unnötige Funksprüche können zum Beispiel einen Notruf (Mayday distress call) blockieren.
